Dusky Pink wedding flowers at Great Fosters

The sun was really shinning for this lovely wedding in March this year, this kind of weather would have been the envy of any bride getting married in June not to mention March.   So needless to say, Amy and Neil were over the moon.   With bridesmaids wearing plum, Amy was keen to keep to lighter colours which would feel springy and pretty, but toning in nicely. She opted for ivory with touches of dusky pinks.  For the bride and bridal bouquets we used lovely ivory, pale and dusky pink roses, with pale plummy pink heleborus and astrantia.

For the ceremony which was taking place in the Orangery, we created two gorgeous urn statement centrepieces, bursting with bloomy hydrangeas, roses, scented stocks, delphiniums and Oriental lilies.  Right by the start of the aisle, as Amy would walk in, we placed two topiary bay trees dressed with flowers and continued the aisle decoration with romantic petal scatter and hurricane vases with candles.

For the wedding breakfast in the Tithe Barn, Amy and Neil opted for a central oval top table, which was dressed with 2 tall martini vases centrepieces at either end, and we placed small vases in betwen, ready to place the bridesmaids bouquets in, for a splash of extra colour on the table.  The remaining tables in the middle of the Tithe Barn had matching martini vase centrepieces.  The tables under the eaves where the ceiling is much lower had pretty fish bowl vases centrepieces.  In both cases, we carried the same theme through, using bloomy hydrangeas, scented stocks and lilies, ivory and dusky pink lilies, and dusky pink touches of astrantia and hellebores.  The pretty stack of cupcakes were made by Amy’s family.
