Great Fosters wedding flowers – vintage peach & cream reception flowers
This weekend’s Great Fosters wedding flowers had a beautiful vintage, pearls, peach & cream theme which looked amazing in the Tithe Barn. Aleyna and Adam’s wedding ceremony took place in a local church in her home town in Buckinghamshire, followed by a Great Fosters wedding reception in Surrey.
For Aleyna’s Great Fosters wedding flowers, we built the flowers theme around Aleyna’s accent colour of coral peach. Aleyna wanted to keep the peach as a subtle accent colour only, to give the flowers a soft and vintage style. So we used a very pale peach rose variety called Talea, and a deeper peach Peach Avalanche rose variety, adding in apricot and peach spray roses and lisianthus, to add subtle splashes of peach just here and there, amongst mainly ivory wedding flowers. Aleyna’s bridal bouquet was kept all ivory, with a mix of roses, paeonies, lisianthus and lily of the valley. The bridesmaids bouquets were a similarly textural mix of ivory and pale peach roses, spray roses, lisianthus and lily of the valley, and the little flower girls’ posies were daintier versions with added dreamy gyposphilla.
For the wedding reception in the Tithe Barn, the Great Fosters wedding flowers were kept to a mainly ivory with subtle accents of pale peach and creamy peach. We used tall elegant silver candelabras, draped with vintage pearls, and dressed these with bloomy and textural displays of flowers, to add drama as you enter the very tall ceilinged Tithe barn. On the top table and the side tables, where the ceiling is lower, we used low displays to best match the scale and proportions of the space. The mix of flowers throughout was roses, hydrangeas, white and apricot scented stocks, dreamy Overtime gypsophilla and lisianthus. We kept foliage to a minimum, to give as dreamy an effect as possible. The beautiful cake was dressed with white hydrangea, peach lisianthus and peach spray roses. For the minstrel gallery, we draped a foliage garland with clusters of dreamy gypsophilla dotted all along.
The pretty chair covers and classic ivory sashes were provided by Host with Style – recommended suppliers at Great Fosters. Aleyna had spared no attention to detail when it came to venue and table accessories. My favourite were the sweets themed table names and new surname inspired favours of Bassett sweets.
