Pembroke lodge wedding – Belvedere Suite in the spring
As soon as I received Francesca’s shot of her bouquet from her lovely photographer, I just had to share a quick post about this lovely early 2017 wedding at Pembroke Lodge. It was just too pretty!
Francesca opted for a beautiful trailing shower bouquet of garden O’Hara scented roses, Avalanche roses, scented wax flowers, ranunculus, lisianthus and silvery eucalyptus, and, as she wanted a wilder but not just-handpicked style to the bouquet and the whole wedding, we also added in some beautiful black and white anemones. For me this is spring encapsulated, it looked so lovely, relaxed and fresh.
As her bridesmaids wore dark navy blue dresses, Francesca wanted to pick up on this with subtle accents of navy and pale blue, so to their bouquets, we added blue thistles and delicate little muscari, as well as dusky lilac Memory Lane roses which go really well with this colour theme.
For the men’s buttonholes, we opted for Memory Lane roses, with dark navy blue viburnum berries, pale blue muscari and wax flowers sprigs, which gave a wonderful wilder style effect to match the bouquets. David’s buttonhole matched the design but with an ivory Avalanche rose, to match the bridal bouquet. For the mums corsages, we created dainty lapel corsages of lisianthus and ranunculus.
Over at Pembroke Lodge, we arrived to dress the lovely and bright Belvedere Suite with classic silver candelabras and candle-lit wreaths of flowers, perfect for this early time of the year when light outside is low and candlelight can make such a big difference.
Francesca wanted to make her budget work as hard as possible, so we reused the guest table centrepieces to first dress the ceremony area. Two of the tall guest table candelabra displays were placed either side of the ceremony table, while another pair flanked the start of the wedding aisle. all placed on ivory plinth stands to raise them up to the right height to be seen once guests are seated. We dressed the ceremony table with 2 of the low guest table candlelit flower wreaths, and another one on the assistant registrar’s table. For the candelabras as well as the flower wreaths, Francesca opted for a pretty mix of ivory hydrangeas, ivory and dusky lilac roses, lisianthus, wax flowers and silvery green eucalyptus, with subtle accents of blue thistles and dark viburnum berries. Finally, the windows were dressed with pretty flower garlands swags.
The lovely photos are thanks to Laura Lees Weedding Photography who captured this young couple’s beautiful wedding moments so lightly and unobtrusively – I love the relaxed photography of this wedding! Thank you so much Francesca and David, and wishing you many happy years of wedding bliss.
