Hampton Court House wedding 2013 – rustic, wild and original
Back for our second Hampton Court House wedding 2013, I really loved working on these wedding flowers. I have lost track of how many we have done in total at HCH but it was nice to be back so soon following our earlier summer 2013 wedding at HCH. We have arranged flowers for many beautiful weddings at Hampton Court House, all of which really lovely, but this is the first where the ceremony was NOT at HCH. Louise and Gerard were married at the beautiful St Rafael’s Church in Kingston, followed by the reception at Hampton Court House, with cool boat transfer in between! Louise and Gerard’s wedding was all about rustic charm and very informal flowers, so all the bouquets and church and venue centrepieces were all designed with this is mind. For the beautiful church ceremony we flanked the ceremony area with two wild flowers displays and hung rustic twig hearts with rafia from the pretty pew ends. Louise’s and the bridesmaids bouquets all used roses, hydrangeas and dainty astrantia and accent scented herbs and eucalyptus.
After the church ceremony, over to this Hampton Court House wedding 2013, we framed the dramatic arched doors with two matching huge urn centrepieces, a really showstopping entrance to the wedding breakfast. With quite a large wedding party and many tables, we dressed the tables with tall centrepieces down the middle of the room, to add drama when guests entered the room. On the rest of the guest tables we created beautiful wild style displays of bird cages full of roses and spray roses, astrantia, lisianthus, veronica, herbs and dahlias. Nothing was too perfect or polished, in keeping with Louise and Gerard’s laid back outlook. The table names were very very cool, a record of perfect year after year attendance at Glastonbury!
