Botanical wedding flowers – the Atrium at Botleys Mansion’s

 

Let’s dive into Tom & Assem’s moody botanical wedding flowers at Botleys Mansion in Surrey!  

For her summer wedding, Assem didn’t want to go too heavy and make this too dark,  but wanted to give the nude and vintage pinks core colour scheme a bit of a moodier edge, steering away from the airy pastel colours that have been so popular. 

Though the natural temptation given the brief was to make it moodier and more bohemian, we moderated this edgier aesthetic and  carefully measured it so that it looked right at the bright and airy glass-house feel of the atrium at Botleys Mansion, where the ceremony and wedding breakfast were hosted.

For the bridal and bridesmaids bouquets, we used a mix of popular wedding rose varieties but added a sprinkling of moody Amnesia roses to give the colour balance an edge.  The design was kept simple and uncluttered, with just the mix of roses and eucalyptus foliage, but the Amnesia roses coupled with Assem’s dark hair and sleek hair do, were in perfect visual harmony.  Meanwhile the softer shades such as the Upper Secret and Secret Garden roses looked perfect against the bridesmaids dusky pink dresses. The fitted plain fitted dress with sharp but shapely bustline and dropped shoulder straps, and the sleek hairstyle were perfectly balanced and created the most amazing edgey style for the lovely Assem. The look was softened by a captivating veil, creating a beautiful and romantic silhouette as she walked down the aisle with her dad. 

For the venue florals, we wanted to achieve a perfect botanical wedding flowers vibe.  We made a statement with oversized foliage-rich tall table centrepieces, rising up on bronze geometric stands, with lots of darker green foliage peppered with olive and Italian ruscus.  A floral and foliage runner on the glass window shelf behind the ceremony area, flanked by two of the tall geometric stands centrepieces on white plinths, provided an almost arch-like quality to the ceremony area, behind the bride and groom! Two more were used at the back to flank the walk down the aisle, along with petal scatter and our modern gold geometric lanterns.   A combination of modern style, organic design and botanical textures coming together in the best way!
