Modern cream, gold & mustard wedding

A modern take on autumn wedding flowers

For their fabulous wedding at Farnham Castle on the Surrey & Hampshire border, Funmi & Taylor had a beautifully different cream, gold & mustard wedding flowers colour palette which was a delight to blend together.  For the venue flowers we added a splash of warmer  colours such as mellow corals and pinky earthy shades, to make sure they were a bit more vibrant and added to the autumn ambiance at the castle.

For Funmi and her bridesmaids’ bouquets we used an interesting mix of terracotta Toffee, Golden Mustard roses, golden achillea, sandy gold button chrysanthemums, and yellow daisies, with yellow mimosa, trailing terracotta amaranthus and wispy bunny tails here and there. Funmi was super keen to have a circlet and we picked out just gold & mustard wedding blooms, to echo the bridesmaids dress colour – we used dainty mimosa and golden mustard spray roses and cute button chrysanthemums again, all of which last really well and looked fabulous on.

The ceremony was held in the beautiful Norman chapel, which looked lovely and vibrant beautifully decorated by gold & mustard wedding flowers displays and the guests’ colourful blue & mustard richly coloured Nigerian outfits and head-dresses. Decor-wise we created two beautiful urns to mark the ascent up the historic narrow staircase leading to the Norman Chapel, and two more to flank the ceremony area.  The wooden railings at the front of the chapel were dressed with beautiful trailing floral runners flanking the ceremony area and later these were reused, joined up into one larger and impressive, mirror-wide runner, to dress the grand fireplace behind the top table, creating a stunning backdrop to the whole table and warm and animated speeches

Emerging from the castle, Funmi & Taylor were greeted by beautifully warm autumn sunshine and their fur and human babies, all looking adorable and very well behaved.

Back into the Great Hall for their wedding breakfast, Funmi and Taylor preferred to have low guest table centrepieces, for which we used our gorgeous golden rose bowls.   But we were so glad that they took our advice to add some high up impact – this is so so needed to suit the room’s absolutely enormously tall ceiling, and to tackle this, we created the most amazing feature chandelier of flowers… Beautiful and atmospheric ceiling string lights radiating out from the chandelier completed the look perfectly.
