Festive reds at Christmas wedding at Botleys Mansion
This Christmas wedding at Botleys Mansion was a real joy from start to finish, kicking off by my meeting with Zoe back in the spring, It really doesn’t get more festive than this winter wedding. Landing in between Christmas and the New Year, Zoe and Callum’s wedding was such a brilliant celebration, with quintessentially Christmas colours. Zoe and Callum wanted to go the whole way with the festive look, with pillar box red and ivory flowers, gold accents, Christmas baubles and seasonal fir foliage.
Zoe opted for for a textural hand-tied bouquet of large red garden roses, scented wax flowers, nude pink Menta roses, wintery skimmia and veronica spires, and the bridesmaids had matching bouquets but with more of an ivory bias, to complement the bridal bouquet but stand out well against their deep red and burgundy dresses. Callum wore a nude pink rose buttonhole with skimmia and wax flowers.
The wedding ceremony and reception were both held at Botleys, a grand Palladian stately home near Chertsey. Guests were welcomed in the upstairs hall by a wishing Christmas tree so that guests could write their messages on the baubles and hang them up. The wedding ceremony was in the glasshouse Atrium downstairs which let in an amazing amount of cool December light. At this fabulous Christmas wedding at Botleys Mansion, we dressed the wedding aisle with tall gold candelabra centrepieces, lanterns on the floor and pretty chair posies. We flanked the stairs down into the atrium with two impressive tall vases styled with twigs, seasonal for and wintery opulent amaryllis lilies and dressed the lower steps with matching lanterns and vases of flowers. The ceremony table was dressed with candlelit floral wreaths in festive colours.
For the wedding breakfast the tables were dressed with a mix of tall dramatic candelabra centrepieces and candlelit wreaths and the venue decor was completed by magical string fairy lights draping over the tables from side to side.
The wedding festivities closed out with an amazing fireworks display lighting up the wintery skies.
