Summer wedding – cream, peach & coral pink wedding flowers
We were so pleased with the beautiful colour mix at this gorgeous summer wedding at Pembroke Lodge. The comments from the beautiful bride Rebecca and her family, other supliers and last but not least, the Pembroke Lodge staff, were so positive, we were delighted to get a lot of appreciative feedback on the day. The lovely wedding coordinators informed me that the big displays proudly decorated the entrance to the lodge for several more days and attracted much admiration.
When Rebeccca met me to discuss her Pembroke Lodge wedding she initially considered having just ivory and greens but was worried that it might look a bit cold and plain. With my advice, she chose this lovely blend of ivory, soft cream and pale peach, blended with uplifting summery coral pinks. This warm and inviting summery colour scheme, offset the deep midnight navy blue bridesmaids dresses beautifully and looked fantastic in the Russell Suite at Pembroke. On the day, it worked really well, adding much needed warmth to a not so hot summers day.
For Rebecca’s bridal bouquet, the bridesmaids’ and flower girl’s posies, we mixed ivory, pale pink and peach Avalanche roses, cream Talea roses, coral Miss Piggy roses and unusual old fashioned coral pink Vuvuzuella garden roses. We also added freesias which Rebecca’s mum had had in her bridal bouquet. I just love their texture and they looked so lovely and fresh in their bouquets.
For the wedding ceremony, we dressed the aisle with fresh rose petal scatter, leading to two amazing urn displays on pedestals, and a beautiful ceremony table floral centrepiece. With the finishing touches in place, we styled the ornate fireplace with a line up of pretty vases with mixed vintage style blooms and draping green amaranthus catkins.
For the wedding reception, we created tall table centre displays of mixed roses, hydrangeas, scented ivory and apricot stocks, and lisianthus to echo the Russell Suite’s tall ceilings. The single exception, to avoid blocking the view during the wedding speeches, was the centrepiece for the top table, which was a bloomy display in a low vase, overspilling with opulent flowers.
The pretty wedding cake, accurate even to the detail on the bridal gown, was supplied by Cakes For Fun. It was a pleasure to bump into talented videographer Matt from Unique Wedding Productions, who regularly shoots at Pembroke Lodge and is a recommended supplier here too.
