Elvetham Wedding florist – Bold orange & gray theme
I was delighted to be back as Elvetham Wedding florist, in Hampshire for a bold and elegant Elvetham wedding ceremony and reception. Charlotte’s bridesmaids wore elegant silver gray dresses and Charlotte chose a bold orange contrast, for a colour scheme just perfect for a hot summers day. For Charlotte’s bridal bouquet we mixed orange calla lilies and silvery gray brunnia berries, plus orange Cherry Brandy roses, to create a lovely tear drop bouquet. The bridesmaids cool silver gray dresses were offset by contrasting hot orange gerberas and silvery brunnia berries bouquets. The men wore orange gerbera buttonholes apart from Dean’s, the groom’s buttonhole which was a Cherry Brandy rose with brunnia berries.
For the venue, we started off in the ceremony room, decorating the start of the aisle with two tall floor standing displays, and framed the ceremony table with two silver candelabra displays with draping candles and contrasting orange and soft ivory flowers displays includin roses, gerberas, silvery eucalyptus and just a few accent ivory roses and lilies. For the registrars table we used a series of vintage tea and coffee silver caddies to hold handtied posies of orange roses, dahlias and gerberas, with silvery eucalyptus and brunnia berries. The mantlepiece in here and the hallway were also dressed with flowers, which contrasted beutifully against the dark gray stone and marble. In the communal spaces in the hotel we added splashes of flowers here and there, everywhere where guests will spend any length of time – cute wicker hearts with single bold orange gerberas were hung from all the staircase posts, and we created a lavish urn displays for the piano top.
For the wedding breakfast, we dressed all tables with our elegant silver candelabras draped with sparkly crystal strands. Some of them had flower displays at the top of the candelabra arms, and some were surrounded by clusters of 4 small silver vases with posies of orange dahlias, gerberas and roses. Throughout we used Cherry Brandy roses, Mpesa roses, Avalanche roses, unusual Vuvuzuella roses and orange gerberas and dahlias.
This wedding was just beautifully bold and so perfect for one of the hotest days we have had this summer, so it was really nice to work with this flowers combinations. Thank you Charlotte and Dean for choosing us to arrange your flowers.
