Enchanted Wentworth Wedding Flowers

Twiggy Rustic Flower Trees at Woodland-Themed Wedding

I was so pleased to work on Kam and Matt’s enchanted Wentworth wedding flowers earlier this year. Right from the beginning, Kam had a vision for something a little bit less ordinary, wanting to combine rustic whimsical touches with a glam and glitzy look. Not a combination which hits the pages of the usual wedding flowers magazines, so all the more difficult to craft it. But after a lot of chatting and scouring Pinterest to check we were on the same page, I think the designs we created for this Enchanted Wentworth wedding ticked the box beautifully, with a look which is straight out of a beautiful Maleficent woodland setting. For the bouquets, we used a gorgeous mix of purple, lilac and ivory hydrangeas, studded with lilac and dusky pink roses such as Safi, Pacific Blue, Memory Lane and Coolwater) and purple lisianthus, Kam’s bouquet also having beautiful anemones in it to set it apart. The men wore buttonholes of Memory Lane roses and purple lisianthus. This enchanted Wentworth wedding ceremony was so atmospheric! The lights were dimmed low, and the room was bathed in a lovely moody light with clever uplighting, romantic cylinder vases with floating candles lining the wedding aisle, and enchanted floral centrepieces.  Four whimsical rustic flower trees adorned with globe tea light holders and sparkly crystals were used to mark the start and the end of the wedding aisle.  The ceremony table was dressed with low but blousy displays of hydrangeas, roses, scented stocks and lisianthus, in wonderful hues of ivory, lilac, purple and dusky pinks, connected by pretty rose petals scatter. The whole effect truly was enchantingly glam and pure whimsy!

Following the ceremony, guests were lead into the lounge where we decorated the balcony with wild ivy wound all around the metalwork, and added colour with posies of pretty flowers in hanging vases. Continuing the enchanted woodland forest theme, an impressive silver birch trunk was given a huge floral crown of colourful flowers – a strong statement piece for an important area where all guests walked past.

And finally, the reception for this enchanted Wentworth wedding was held in the amazingly high ceilinged ballroom, again, bathed in clever light which beautifully illuminated the whimsical table centrepieces. Since the ballroom is so grand, Kam opted for mainly tall table centrepieces – using the unique woodland themed flower trees with rustic branches, dressed in contrasting style with glam crystal strands and globe teal light holders.  A couple of the tables were styled with matching low centrepieces of blousy lavish flowers in vases sheathed in gorgeous silver birch bark. The enchanted theme was applied beautifully to the top table, with a romantic sequence of vintage silver vases with bouquets of flowers, lots of pretty candlelight and unusual magnolia branches arranged in a loose garland along the length of the top table.
