Dreamy Great Fosters wedding flowers – soft ivory, lilac & deep purple
As recommended suppliers for Great Fosters wedding flowers, we are at Great Fosters quite often and I always love arranging flowers here, it is such a beautiful venue. Last weekend we were back at Great Fosters for a wedding in my favourite colour scheme – a soft ivory and pastel lilac with just a little splash of deep purple.
Chantal carried a beautiful tear drop bouquet of ivory paeonies, Avalanche roses, lilac Pacific Blue roses and delphinium buds, kept really bloomy and dreamy to echo her beautiful floaty wedding gown. The bridesmaids bouquets were a mix of Avalanche roses, spray roses, lisianthus and lime green vibernum. The little flower girl carried a pretty handbag posy.
The Great Fosters wedding ceremony took place in the Orangery. We decorated with two dramatic urn displays as a backdrop, framing the gorgeous floor to ceiling arched windows. A matching urn was used in the wall alcove and later on the antique chest in the Painted Hall. The aisle looked beautiful with fresh rose petal scatter and storm vases. The softer colour scheme of the flowers nicely mellowed the striking deep purple chair sashes, from Dressing For Dinner. The flowers were kept at a minimum in the Painted Hall, leaving the amazing sweets cart which the father of the bride had lovingly created himself, take centre stage. The exception was crystal candle holders on the coffee tables and a lovely flowers urn on the Painted Hall chest. The Great Fosters wedding reception took place in the Tithe Barn. For the central tables, we created elegant silver candelabras using our own candelabras, and made these lush and overflowing with flowers. For the side guest tables, we created beautiful flowers displays in low silver Revere bowls. Throughout we used white and pastel lilac hydrangeas, purple, lilac and white stocks, tall delphiniums and lots of roses, and just here and there accents of the lime green vibernum to add a sense of freshness to the designs. >
