Ivory & blush barn wedding flowers

Delicate Ivory & Blush wedding flowers at Great Fosters

I loved Michaela’s choice of flowers for wedding to Chris, at Great Fosters and most of all I loved the wholesome bunch of close family and friends that we met on the day, which totally surrounded this amazing couple in an invisible big group hug.

Michaela and Chris chose Great Fosters as their wedding venue as its where they met, ironically at another wedding, the proposal was here and is where they celebrate special events.   We used a delicate mellow mix of ivory, hint of blush and nude pinks, to stand out nicely against the bridesmaids slightly deeper dustier pink dresses.  The colours looked lovely and light in the Orangery and the dark oak panelled Tithe Barn.

Michela loves the beautiful arched windows in the Orangery and wanted to highlight this beautiful feature of the ceremony room.   So we created a beautiful ethereal drapery swag around the window and added a lush foliage garland with trailing florals, to highlight this so that it defined and outlined the windows.  Michaela wanted to keep her bouquet slightly paler than the bridesmaids and carried a beautiful bouquet of scented O’Hara roses, delicately creamy blush Dorchester and Quicksand roses and scented wax flowers, with Mediterranean Ralphi foliage sprigs.   In loving memory of her mum who passed away not long before the wedding, we added a beautiful photo brooch to the bouquet handle and made a special bouquet of scented flowers to sit on the chair that would have been chela’s mum’s.   The bridesmaids had matching bouquets of roses and scented wax flowers, Ralphi and eucalyptus, but added a bit more colour to their bouquets with Mentha and Sweet Avalanche roses weaved in amongst the other varieties.  The colours looked lovely and summery against their floor length pale dusty pink dresses.

For the Tithe Barn we created beautiful tall vase table centrepieces of blousy hydrangeas, ivory, nude pink and pale blush roses, scented dusty pink stocks and wax flowers and lots of lovely sage green eucalyptus.  To max out the use of all of the beautiful florals, we first used two of these beautiful dramatic displays at the front of the ceremony and another two at the back of the wedding aisle, to nicely frame the wedding party as they walked down the aisle.   The finishing touches for the wedding ceremony were gorgeous blush roses in the Grecian style draped on the aisle chairs and romantic candlelight and rose petals lining the wedding aisle.

The overall effect was beautifully light and airy, creating an elegant but delicate effect which really enhanced the natural beauty of the room and created a dreamy ambiance during the lovely ceremony.  While Michaela and Chris were out in the beautiful grounds at Great Fosters, we swiftly moved the tall floral centrepieces onto the guest tables in the beautiful Tithe Barn, and added a beautiful floral installation over the long top table.   We left the bubbly happy M&C in the capable hands of the wonderful Great Fosters banqueting team, Leslie Choucard for their photography and the surprise Encore Entertainment singing waiters
