Ivory & Lavender Blue Wedding at Highclere Castle
This beautiful wedding at Highclere Castle used a gorgeous mix of scented flowers including David Austin Patience roses, lily of the valley and scented stocks, and it is my favourite for its amazing scent. Add a lovely light touch of lavender blue, and the result is simply charming.
The bridal bouquet is my best ever tear drop bouquet I think, or very very close to that at the very least, with a gorgeous mix of David Austin Patience roses, frilly and heavenly scented, with dainty lisianthus, and lacey delicate sprigs of lily of the valley. The bridesmaids held matching handtied bouquets with a light scattering of pale lavender blue muscari, and the buttonholes and corsages matched with David Austin roses, muscari and lily of the valley. For the young flower girl, we made up a delicate posy of gypsophila and a matching gypsophila circlet which both looked adorable!
The ceremony was held at Burghclere Church which was styled with pretty lytch gate flower posies, bay trees framing the entrance, pretty pew end flowers posies and 2 dramatic ceremony urn centrepieces. After this Charlotte & Peter departed in style in a horse drawn carriage, to the beautiful Highclere Castle nearby.
For the wedding reception at Highclere Castle, we dressed the tables in the library, with tall candelabra centrepieces and alternating low silver revere rose bowl displays, all bursting with ivory and accent pale blue hydrangeas, lots of roses, lisianthus and scented stocks. We created a textural ring of flowers as a base for the wedding cake and added pretty bird cage lanterns and posies of hydrangeas for the outside tables in the beautiful grounds.
