Italian rustic-luxe Northbrook Park wedding flowers
The inspiration for these beautiful Northbrook Park wedding flowers was a summer in Sorento, a theme which could not have found a more perfect location than the beautiful Vine room and walled garden at Northbrook Park. Although we have arranged many other Northbrook Park wedding flowers, this is very firmly my favourite wedding there… ever!
The wedding party flowers were all a mix of beautifully scented roses and peonies, in gorgeous shades of pale and dusty pinks.
For this Northbrook Park wedding ceremony in the stunningly classic Vine room, Georgina – our lovely romantic bride, wanted to recreate a walk in a scented olive grove. We achieved this by lining the aisle with lush olive trees in rosemary-filled planters. Flanking the ceremony area were two absolutely amazing large rustic stone urn centrepieces totally filled with pure ivory white hydrangeas and roses, making the room look like it really belonged in an Italian palazzo. The fireplace was dressed with an opulent all-white flower display, and candlelit by vintage rustic style lanterns. The scent of rosemary and roses as you entered the room was really befitting the lovely theme and scheme.
After the ceremony, guests at this Northbrook Park wedding were lead through the courtyard for a drinks reception in the walled garden. Here we created several displays to set the scene for the reception – two rustic step ladders were used, one to hold lanterns and vintage wire baskets of garden roses, while the other was made into a rustic, herb-laden seating plan. Each table was represented by a potted herb on the wooden ladder, finished at the top with a vintage watering can with beautiful blooms, and at the bottom, surrounded by more rustic displays – a wooden crate and vintage wellies, all full of more flowers and potted herbs. For the drinks table on the lawn, we created a rustic twigs, hearts and hanging votives wishing tree, and in the beautiful cherry tree, we hung vintage bird cages with hanging candles to provide some lovely candle-light for guests as they stepped outside later on in the evening.
For the wedding breakfast, the room was dressed beautifully and simply with over 1000 scented garden tea roses, gathered lavishly in rings of flowers around our elegant silver candelabras, and tucked into each guest napkin. The scent as you walked into the room, from several varieties of lovely pink and dusky pink roses, including the heavenly scented O’Hara roses, was simply to die for. I can honestly say that even though I am used to having lovely scented flowers around all the time, this is a moment engrained in my olfactory memory forever!
