Palest Pastel Blush & Blue
Emma & Sam’s wedding flowers in the palest of pale blush and pale blue were so beautiful and delicate, blue is the furthest thing it had us feeling! Emma took the lead on the wedding flowers planning with us and she opted for a modern take on an English country garden feel, with a focus on Emma’s favourite blooms – hydrangeas and roses.
The wedding was held at Pembroke Lodge in Richmond Park, in the beautifully light and neutral Belvedere Suite overlooking the surrounding countryside with incredible panoramic views. Emma’s bouquet and the matching bridesmaids bouquets, were a symphony of elegant pale prettiness. We used a mix of roses and garden roses, Alisa light pink lisianthus, wispy ethereal astilbe and a touch of very pale sage green eucalyptus. The very pale blush nicely echoed Emma’s bridal dress which had a hint of blush in its underlay just subtly visible through the delicate oyster white lace. And the contrast against the pale dusty blue bridesmaids dresses was equally just so perfectly soft.
For the venue, we focused on the all important ceremony area and created 2 amazing floral urns abundant with hydrangeas and roses, with a sprinkling of lacy gypsophila and eucalyptus. Emma wanted to keep the shape quite neat to give a classic style so we echoed that with domes of flowers at each end of the ceremony table. The bride & groom chairs were dressed with roses, lisianthus, delphiniums and gypsophila posies which looked so pretty on the back of the limewash Chiavari chairs.
After the ceremony and the photos, guests came back inside for the wedding breakfast, where the round tables dressed with low floral centrepieces surrounded by elegant candles. The gorgeous floral urns behind the ceremony table, were repurposed and created a spectacular backdrop for the top table during the speeches. And last but not least the long top table was dressed with the pretty bridal and bridesmaids bouquets.
The wedding photography was captured by recommended supplier, David of Married To My Camera, who we have worked with a lot this last year at Pembroke Lodge, much to our delight. His photos capture the day in such a beautiful and light way, it’s like an a feather has touched each moment and given it a magical light halo. He puts his couples at ease and as a result the photos are always full of happy, smiley people, totally at ease, a real joy to see. Every time one of his albums gets shared with me after the wedding, I know I’m in for a real treat.
