Lovely Vintage Wedding at Great Fosters
I loved working on Charlotte and Michael’s wedding flowers at Great Fosters. Charlotte’s vision was a pretty and informal vintage 50s-inspired wedding and I must say it all came together beautifully, with all things consistently of that decade. From the gorgeous lace bridal gown and stunningly glamorous make up, to the bridesmaids pale sky blue 50s-style dresses, to the lace covered chiavari chairs and the pale ivory, blush and pale blue flowers, the whole wedding was postcard pretty.
Charlottes carried a lavish bouquet of textural hydrangeas, Avalanche and pale blush O’Hara garden roses, lisianthus and dainty pale blue muscari, and her bridesmaids had coordinating blush and pale blue bouquets which looked stunning against their pale blue dresses. For the wedding aisle, we created a beautiful bloomy walk amongst tall and low candelabras and candleholders packed with pretty country style blooms. For the ceremony area, we created a beautiful backdrop of a dreamy tule canopy tumbling around two rustic flowers columns for a really romantic look. The ceremony table was styled with pretty lace covered vases of ivory and blush hydrangeas and roses. All centrepieces were then cleverly reused in the Tithe Barn – the tall lavish candelabra centrepieces dressing the middle of the Tithe Barn, where the ceiling is very tall, while the lower rings of flowers around vintage candle holders, were used to dress the tables on the sides of the Tithe Barn and lined up for an eclectic pretty effect along the top table.
The lovely wedding photography at Great Fosters was captured by Paul Johnson of Lime Photography, Michael’s own photography business. And what an amazing job they did! Absolutely stunning, like everything about the whole wedding… A big thank you to Charlotte and Michael for making us part of your amazing day and sharing these stunning photos.
