Striking Succulents at Farnham Castle wedding
I must say, I really enjoyed the designs for Xin and Mark’s wedding flowers at Farnham Castle. However much I love, love, love all things pretty pastels and beautifully blush, it is always a lovely challenge to design a more unusual theme! Succulents wedding flowers were the key inspiration for Xin’s whimsical tastes, also very apparent in Xin’s beautiful choice of wedding gown and bridesmaids colour scheme.
I loved Xin’s stunning and unusual vintage wedding veil, and her choice of distinctive chartreuse green bridesmaids dresses. Xin wanted a succulents inspired wedding décor with a difference – I put together a beautiful colour scheme combination of ivory, golden yellows, and silver green flowers and foliage, with lovely succulents, hydrangeas, yellow mimosa and bloomy hydrangeas.
All the ceremony flowers were used again as guest table centrepieces – tall silver vases with dramatic displays of tall elegant yellow calla lilies, hydrangeas and mimosa, were used to frame the ceremony table, raised up on our plinth stands. The ceremony table was styled with lavish silver rose bowl centrepieces, with hydrangeas, roses, succulents and mimosa, with silvery foliage, connected by individual succulents and silver votives. And in case you are going to wonder… The wedding reception was first set up with the aisle on the diagonal, but later on, with a change of mind from Xin and Mark, this was turned around, with the aisle facing the windows. So if have a decision to make about your wedding aisle direction at Farnham Castle this may help…

The guests comments book table was styled with an interesting array of succulents, rustic pots wrapped in bark and a pretty vintage bird cage bursting with unusual flowers.
All floral displays were later on moved to the top table and the guest tables, so everything worked super hard, to make the most of each display throughout the day.
