This beautiful summer wedding is bursting with fresh summer colours in pretty shades of coral, blush pink and sage greens and looked really pretty and informal. The vibrant and relaxed vibe flowers were combined with elegant silver props which made the theme feel more grown up and elegant than shabby chic, and the silver added a touch of coolness to balance it all out.
Fiona opted for a really wild style shower bouquet with lots of textures. We blended a lovely mix of roses such as Sweet Avalanche, Vuvuzuella, Talea, cream spray roses, champagne peach lisianthus, with wilder style flowers such as green heleborus, jasmine and Green bell grasses and euonymus. The bridesmaids bouquets were a handtied version of Fiona’s, and looked beautiful against their pale sage green dresses.
Following a church ceremony near her home, Fiona and James arrived for their reception at Great Fosters in Surrey. The wedding breakfast was held in the beautifully rustic Tudor-age Tithe Barn, while drinks reception and the cutting of the cake were in the light and airy Orangery. The Tithe Barn was dressed with blousy tall centrepieces with lots of roses, hydrangeas, spray roses, green bell grasses, and trailing ivy, and we also mixed in some low centrepieces in quintessentially English silver rose bowls, for the few tables under the eaves of the barn, where the ceiling is quite low. The top table was dressed with a bloomy long & low centrepiece later flanked by the bridesmaids bouquets, and the Minstrel Gallery was styled with a similar display flanked by lots of candlelight in storm vases. For the drinks and cutting of the cake in the Orangery, we used 4 tall blossom trees centrepieces which are available for hire, to add a lovely candlelit ambience and be a nice backdrop for guest photos in case of rainy weather.
