Ivory, Pink & Lilac Wedding Flowers

Beautiful cool pastels wedding at Great Fosters

These beautiful wedding flower designs at Great Fosters looked so light and summery! Using a lovely mix of ivory, hint of blush and pale pink and dusky lilac-pink colours, and using a sweet mix of classic English blooms, made this wedding go so well with the beautiful setting in the Tithe Barn at Great Fosters… Not too pale but not too moody either! The bridal bouquet was a sumptuous classic tear drop bursting with ivory, hint of blush and sugary sweet pale pinks, with an amazing scent of David Austin and O’Hara roses, simply to die for.  Nude pink Mentha roses and a subtle scattering of delphinium buds, stopped the colours looking too pink.  The bridesmaids bouquets were blousy hand-ties of textural hydrangeas, roses and silvery berried eucalyptus and looked gorgeous against the blush pink bridesmaids dresses. Following a church ceremony at Our Lady of the Assumption Catholic Church in Englefield Green, the reception was held at Great Fosters in the beautiful tithe barn.  For the centre of the barn where the ceiling is so high, our designs were tall dramatic vase centrepieces full of vintage blooms in delicate shades of ivory, blush, nude pink and dusky, pinky lilacs.  Again, the colour balance was kept fresh and more grown up by cooling the pink tones with elegant contrasts of silvery green eucalyptus.  The tall vase centrepieces were surrounded by little posies of flowers which had previously been used to dress the pew ends at the church.  The two focal church centrepieces were also put to good use again by being reused to flank the top table.  This is always a good idea to make your flowers go a bit further, especially when the church and venue are close together and you have plenty of groomsmen power!  For the tables under the sides of the room, the designs were all about cosy candlelit ambience since the ceiling in this part of the barn is quite low.  bouquets of flowers were framed by floating candles for a pretty and delicate look.
