Bethany & Liam’s intimate Pennyhill Park winter wedding
I can’t tell you how much I enjoyed working on this beautiful bijou winter wedding at Pennyhill Park near us!
Bethany and Liam’s met me about 8-9 months before their wedding and they had a lot going on in their lives, including moving house, a small baby, new business ventures and so on. They were planning a small intimate wedding with just their nearest and dearest, because they wanted to focus on what really mattered and have an amazing and luxurious wedding just for them.
They pulled out all the stops when it came to their winter wedding at Pennyhill Park, with lots and lots of lovely wedding flowers and floral decor for both the ceremony room, as well as the wedding table. The whole day unfolded within the beautiful library at Pennyhill Park, which was first used for teh ceremony and then turned around during photos to a gorgeous dinner set up with a gorgeously decorated long table for all the guests.
The wedding was in November and the grounds at Pennyhill Park were lovely and frosty as we arrived to set up. We got straight into the set up by installing two of our stunning candlelit blossom trees at the approach to the library, then moved on to the ceremony decor. Bethany and Liam were ken to make use of the beautiful fireplace as a backdrop to the ceremony itself, and since they had fewer guests, the room could be set up with the fireplace as a focus point which was really unusual and beautiful. The ceremony area was flanked by two amazing statement floral urns absolutely bursting with hydrangeas and roses, which provided a really luxurious backdrop to the couple as they said their vows. The beautiful stone fireplace was not forgotten either and we dressed it with a stunning mantlepiece display abundant with flowers. For the wedding aisle, we created a romantic look with wintry chair posies of bud hydrangeas, white flowers and navy blue thistles, to echo the colour scheme of the wedding, and added our silver lanterns to line the wedding aisle.
Bethany, and her bridesmaids – wearing elegant dark navy blue floor length dresses, all looked amazing with wintry bouquets of hydrangeas, roses, lisianthus, thistles and pale blue delphiniums, a gorgeous choice which looked lovely and wintry but still very feminine and pretty. Liam and his groomsmen wore white rose and thistle buttonholes, which were really well suited for this winter wedding at Pennyhill Park, the thistle adding a wintry touch to the flowers.
While Bethany and Liam and guests were all enjoying outdoor photos and drinks in the conservatory, we set about transforming the library, where a long banquet table had been laid with a pale blue runner. We dressed this with an abundance of flowers, mixing tall and low centrepieces for an interesting tablescape, and added tonnes of gorgeous candlelight with our elegant gold candlesticks and votives, connected by trailing foliage. The result was incredible and luxurious, and all the details that Bethany and I had been planning added a magical sparkle to the day.
I hope you’ve enjoyed these beautiful wedding photos kindly provided by Jessy Papassava Photography – we’ve worked with Jessy many times before and her photography always delights and impresses, is thoughtful and touching. We would really recommend her if you are looking for an awesome wedding photographer. This Pennyhill Park winter wedding was beautifully captured by her yet again.
