Winter Wonderland at Rivervale Barn Wedding
When I met with Michelle to discuss her plans for her Rivervale Barn wedding, she was just one of the most excited bride to be! She had seen a lovely photo of a winter wonderland wedding we’d done at another venue and she knew instantly that this is the look she was after. The rest as they say is history!
Michelle loves candles and she wanted a pure white wedding with frosty silvery touches. For her wonderful Rivervale Barn wedding, she also wanted the ceremony room to look quite different from the reception part of the barn. The whole reason she opted for a Rivervale Barn wedding, even cancelling a provisional booking for another venue, was that the venue had the separate areas. That and the fact that they always have a lovely 20 ft Christmas tree which would be the piece the resistance for the wedding reception. So all that remained was to bring a touch of wow to the wedding ceremony area too. What better thing for this than our amazing floral arch and flower trees at this stunning Rivervale Barn wedding?
Before you scroll to your hearts content I should mention that this is my favourite wedding photography album of the year, all these brilliant moments so amazingly captured by Ross Hurley Photography – such a pleasure to see them and share them with you! Thank you so much to Michelle and Chris, the lovely couple, and to Ross Hurley for bringing the year to an end with one of the most amazing wedding album ever!!!
Michelle and her bridesmaids are all holding wintry bouquets of white Alpes D’Huez roses, lacey gypsophila and silver brunnia berries, which looked so fab against their eau de nil blue-grey dresses.
For this Rivervale Barn wedding, we created a wonderful welcome by framing the door to the ceremony room with our stunning wedding flowers blossom trees, styled with lots of hanging candles in lanterns, glass bauble votives and bird cages. The look was completed by tall LOVE letters by Farnham Light & Sound.
We continued the romantic candle-light theme with a row of candle-lit storm vases and rose petals along the wedding aisle floor, leading the way to our stunning floral arch.
The beautiful wedding flowers arch on hire from us, looked amazing against the floor to ceiling window backdrop, and together with the all white elegant vases packed with pure white flowers, which lined the aisle, made the ceremony room look simply magical!
A simply stunning shot from Ross, capturing Michelle and Mark as they walk down the aisle after the all important I-Do’s, with the stunning wedding flowers and floral arch in the background! I would have to admit that i would happily renew my vows just to be able to recreate this one shot!
The other part of the barn was dressed with the tall vases of opulent pure white wedding flowers (some coming over and being reused after the ceremony), and the stunning Christmas tree created a gorgeous backdrop at one end of the room!
At the other end of the barn, the stunning floral arch from the ceremony was reused with great effect to frame the wedding cake and mince pies stack!
The top table was styled with our lovely sparkly frosty vases lined up along the table, ready to receive the 4 bridesmaids bouquets and bridal bouquet of pure white flowers, bringing in our lovely candleholders from the ceremony table to add extra candlelight.
