Lucy & Tim’s Laid Back White & Gold Wedding at Pembroke Lodge
The trend for gold and wilder style and more informal wedding flowers came together perfectly in this beautiful monochrome white & gold themed wedding at Pembroke Lodge. Add to that the gorgeous pale sage green bridesmaids dress colour scheme and you end up with a really charming, relaxed yet sophisticated look that’s soooo bang on trend.
Lucy’s and her bridesmaids carried loose and informal bouquets, with a fantastic mix of scented peonies, roses and spray roses, lisianthus, feathery astilbe and dainty astrantia. All with a really healthy dose of wild eucalyptus and olive sprigs that I just adore. The soft silvery shades beautifully complemented the bridesmaids mellow pastel sage green dresses. A very happy Lucy and ‘team bridesmaids’ arrived at Pembroke Lodge on a somewhat rainy day, but the weather didn’t dent their spirits.
The venue entrance was styled by Host With Style, with floaty drapes for a really dreamy effect which really lightened up the room. We used our lovely rustic blossom flower trees surrounded by moss and candlelight, to create a beautiful romantic start to the wedding aisle. At the far end of the aisle, framing the ceremony area, were two truly fabulous gold urn centrepieces with unusual black eyed delphiniums, masses of hydrangeas, roses, eucalyptus and olive. Oversized gold rose bowl displays were used to add a wild and opulent look to the ceremony table, perfectly completing the decor.
A break in the rain provided a welcome respite for beautiful photography outside the beautiful Pembroke Lodge grand entrance. Meanwhile, the Belvedere Suite was prepared for the wedding breakfast, quickly transformed to welcome guests back inside. Table centrepieces with antique gold props looked really fabulous against the neutral colour scheme of the room. We styled the guest tables with a mix of tall gold candelabra centrepieces and low antique gold rose bowls, both bursting with hydrangeas, roses, stocks, astrantia and lisianthus.
