Nishali & Chris’ fairy-tale winter wedding at Botleys Mansion
Nishali and Chris undoubtedly deserve the badge of most chilled out couple of the year. From the moment I met them to discuss their wedding flowers plans, to the wedding day and beyond, they remanned refreshingly focused on just having a lovely and laid back wedding. Nishali’s bridesmaids wore deep emerald green dresses, so Nishali opted for a soft colour palette for flowers, of ivory, nude and blush pinks, with touches of winter ferns. The best woman, one of Chris’ close friends from way back, wore a matching dress and opted for a pretty wrist corsage to match the bridesmaids bouquets. Chris and his ushers opted for nude pink Quicksand rose buttonholes with winter ferns.
Welcoming guests to the venue was a clustering of floating candle vases and a central tall display, on the table in the entrance hall. The ceremony was held at Botleys Mansion in the gorgeous Green Room. This was dressed with two statement floral ceremony displays and a trailing long display on the ceremony table, all in softest ivory and blush shades, with winter white ferns. Gold geometric lanterns and rose petals scatter down the aisle finished off the decor.
Nishali and Chris wanted to somehow integrated their theme of Disney fairytales into their floral decor – we did this by building floral displays around Nishali’s golden princess carriages candle holders, for all the guest tables in the Atrium. Nishali and Chris opted for Display fairy tales themed wedding table names to further build on their theme. The long display from the ceremony table was reused as a top table display, and the 2 statement displays from the ceremony area were used to beautifully flank the top table throughout the wedding breakfast. The gold lanterns from the ceremony aisle were repurposed to dress the upper steps down to the atrium, while the lower steps were dressed with beautiful floral displays.
