Linda and Luke’s deep reds and gold Christmas wedding at beautiful Great Fosters
When the winter draws close to Christmas, there’s no place more magical to me than the gorgeous Tithe Barn at Great Fosters. The rustic charm of the barn and the hearty inglenook fireplace right behind the top table, is just so inviting, warm and cosy. Linda and Luke’s wedding with deep reds and warm golds simply oozed a sense of Christmas.
Linda’s bouquet was just stunning, with lots of deep red Grand Prix and Burgundy roses, ilex berries and seasonal foliage, and the bridesmaids ones echoed this, with some ivory roses added in the mix to give stand out against their deep red dresses. The men wore festive buttonholes of red Grand Prix roses, with ilex berries and wintry holly.
The Orangery is already adorned with pretty seasonal swags all around the room, as part of the yearly Christmas venue styling, so we dressed the ceremony simply by using here first the guest table centrepieces. The tall candelabra centrepieces were used to flank the ceremony area and the start of the aisle, while the low candle-lit floral wreaths were used to dress the ceremony table. This was a great way for Linda and Luke to get more bang for their money by maxing out on the reuse factor for all of their floral displays. The tall displays, gorgeous tall gold candelabras dressed with large floral displays at the top, were used in the middle of the barn where the ceiling is really tall. Meanwhile, the tables under the eaves of the barn were dressed with low candlelit floral wreaths using our lovely new gold geometric lanterns. Finally, last but not least, the long top table was dressed with the bridesmaids bouquets, in low champagne gold vases, lined up along the length of the top table, to which we added our pretty gold candleholders.
The barn looked so inviting with the warm flicker of candlelight and the beautiful festive deep reds displays…
