Jess and Scott’s lovely pastel wedding flowers at Great Fosters this spring, were so pretty and bang on the revival trend for antique gold props and accessories. Jess opted for a lovey mix of pastel colours (ivory, creams, pale peach and dusty pinks), with the subtlest touches of plum. The antique gold props gave the flower colours a beautiful warm touch.
The designs used a lovely mix of roses, ranunculus, hydrangeas, astrantia, spray roses, and some gorgeously scented apricot stocks. The plum Kloony ranunculus splashes in the bouquets were a brilliant match to the bridesmaids plum dresses. Jess’ bouquet was relaxed and textural with lots of beautiful blooms including gorgeously scented O’Hara roses, scented stocks, light feathery astilbe and wilder looking eucalyptus sprigs.
Jess and Scott’s wedding ceremony was held in our favourite venues of all, the lovely character-crammed Great Fosters. The light ceremony room, the Orangery was styled simply with antique gold candelabras starting the wedding aisle and flanking the ceremony itself, and an informal line up of pretty gold vases ad candles along the ceremony table. The pretty pinky chair backs for the Charivari chairs finished the look beautifully.
Later on, the candelabras were reused in the beautiful oak Tithe Barn to dress the central tables where the ceiling is super high, and complementing low antique gold rose bowls were used to dress the rest of the guest tables under the eaves of the barn. A low hanging fairy lights canopy finished the warm candle-lit decor.
