Beautiful burgundy at Farnham Castle wedding
As the winter draws in, these lovely and warm wedding flowers at Farnham Castle, with shades of rich burgundy mellowed down by pretty pastel pink and ivory, were a perfect fit for Farnham Castle’s warm gold toned-decor. This colour scheme is making a real come back and is really on trend for 2018, so Kass was riding on the start of this trend wave.
For her own and the bridesmaids’ bouquets, Kass opted for lovely hand-tied bouquets of scented O’Hara blush roses, ivory and nude pink Menta roses, dainty burgundy astrantia and spray roses, with some opulent and velvety, deepest burgundy Black Baccara roses which I absolutely love.
To welcome guests at the historic farnham Castle wedding venue, Kass opted for styling the entrance stairs with ivy around the balustrade, and rustic bay trees wrapped in hessian. The table centrepieces, first used in the ceremony room before being moved onto the guest tables, were a mix of tall antique gold candelabra centrepieces, used to frame the ceremony table, and low antique gold rose bowls, used in the windowsills behind the ceremony table. The ceremony table itself was dressed with a beautiful long & low centrepiece with burgundy, blush and ivory roses, deep burgundy amaryllis, hydrangeas, gerberas, and astrantia, with lots of natural trailing berried eucalyptus foliage. The chairs down the aisle were dressed with floaty chair end posies of lacey gypsophila, bound with dreamy tule bows. And for the finishing touch when the floral displays were moved onto the tables in the great hall, the grand mantlepiece behind the top table, was finished off with a lovely floral display to match.
