Elegant Glam Wedding at Down Hall
If you are like me and love mellow combinations of ivory, blush pinks and vintage pinks, and a little glam sparkle, this wedding is for us! Not to mention this amazingly opulent Italian style stately venue which was the icing on the cake: it was my first time at Down Hall in Essex – a beautiful county house venue set in 110 acres of woodland and landscaped gardens in Hertfordshire, not far from Bishop’s Stortford. Hopefully it will not be my last… Grand columns and beautiful large windows with amazing views are in abundance so its a great place to tie the know in style!
For this stunning wedding at the amazing Down Hall in Essex, Emma opted for my favourite blend of specialist bloomy blush O’Hara roses which open up as big and frilly as paeonies, pale pink Sweet Avalanche roses, nude pink Menta roses, and unusual vintage deep lilacey pink Amnesia roses. To add more texture, scent and all round gorgeousness, we also used large blush Clooney ranunculus, blush lisianthus and scented tuberose buds for the bridal flowers.
For the venue flowers, to all the beautiful mix of roses, we added blousy hydrangeas and beautifully blush LeReve oriental lilies and scented stocks. The ceremony was dressed with 2 amazing urn centrepieces packed with flowers and a beautiful scent, flanking the ceremony table dressed with a beautiful long & low display. The assistant registrars table was styled with 2 candlelit rings of flowers and a pretty line up of vintage silver mercury glass votives and petal scatter, all later destined for the top table. For the wedding breakfast in another beautiful suite with amazingly tall ceilings, the tables were dressed with opulent displays of flowers on elegant silver stands, draped with crystal strands for a lovely touch of sparkle. Votives around the base and Emma’s beautiful sequin tablecloths completed the look perfectly.
